Kéré Architecture
https://twitter.com/fuergando The focus of Kéré Architecture is innovation through the use of local and sustainable building materials and methods with community participation in planning and construction. The office was founded in 2005 by Burkina Faso-born architect Diébédo Francis Kéré, who won international acclaim for the design and construction of the Primary School In Gando, Burkina Faso. Our projects range from large urban-scale developments in Germany to human-scale housing in Mozambique. Working across continents from Africa to Europe, we strive to engage localities in our design and construction approach. For our successful integration of local building material, local knowledge, and local technologies, our work continues to be recognized internationally with awards and publications. Through sustainable and affordable building practices, Kéré Architecture strives to support the educational, cultural, and sustainable needs of communities in Burkina Faso and around the world.
